Heroes Today is a Non Profit corporation (Charitable Corporation) registered in the state of Pennsylvania by the Bureau of Charitable Organizations. Hey Fred,
Great service to the Piper family, and demonstration of intentional/conscious leadership. Heroes Today continues to be the difference in the lives of military families and veterans who are homeless and dealing with difficult circumstances. May God’s peace, mercy and blessings be with veterans, soldiers and families of US Armed Forces serving in 2 wars abroad, and Heroes Today.
Happy New Year to All.
All the best,
Wali
On December 24, 2008 Christmas Eve our Founder (Frederick Johnson) and our Volunteer and Donation Coordinator (Susan Malinak) went to the home of the Piper family. Heroes Today was honored to help the Piper family with presents for their children, food, clothing and gifts for mom and dad.
Next week (the week of 29 Dec 2008) the father of this beautiful family (Robert) will be rejoining his unit to deploy to Iraq in support of the war on terror. While away his loving wife (Linda) will be supporting the household on her own. Unfortunately, Linda too will be shipping off to the war zone some time in February. Leaving the children without the support of both their mother and father for an entire year. Heroes Today recognizes that more and more soldiers of the war on terror are couples who are called to serve their country at any given moment. These soldiers in turn leave behind the very reason that they fight for the freedoms of today, their families. It is important that as citizens in this great country that we not only support the soldier who is fighting to preserve freedom but also the family that the soldier has left behind.
If you would like to learn more on what you can do to help support these families that are in need please contact us at support@heroestoday.org.
Thankyou for what you guys do.
Fred,
God bless you and Hero’s Today. Your passion for excellence, attention to detail, and heartfelt yearning for the well being of homeless verterians is apparant. I admire your tenacity as you are determined to seek out those that are crying out for help but may not know where to begin to find it. Through Hero’s Today strong holds will be broken, broken hearts will be healed, and new beginings will take form for those in need and those that need to witness the miracles.
Fighting the war against homeliness is everyone’s business…(and) everyone can serve in their own community. How? If not by directly providing shelter, food, clothing, effective healthcare or financial support. Alternatively, anyone can say “thank you” to a homeliness veternan for putting their life at risk in service to this nation and protecting the freedom that a lot of Americans take for granted. Also, I invite you to say, “I may not have the tangible resources to show my gratitude for your services to this nation at this time. However, I would like to extend a hug and smile, and offer my prayers will be with you forever.”
